This song was inspired by the pain of a relationship ending alongside the inspiration and invitation of truly facing the process of death and a conscious ending so that I may emerge reborn and renewed. As always, nature is the great teacher. Watching the leaves gracefully meet their end soothed my pain during a challenging period and offered me a mirror of how I might surrender myself to the end as opposed to clinging, holding, and internally fighting to hold onto something that had ran its natural course.
